If you looked at a wedding photo album today, you wouldn't see much difference (other than they would have been black and white images) for an album from half a century ago. Normally the bride has the place of honor in the photo album on the first page and this too is traditional. It is also tradition to find a beautiful spot close to where the couple was married to take some pictures of them together placing these images next in the album.

Next of the photos you will find in a modern wedding photo album will be one with the wedding party dressed in their finery. The party is normally close friends and relations that play an active part during the ceremony like the father of the bride, the best man, page boys and bridesmaids. After these shots are taken it will be the turn of the bride and her family, then the groom posing with his family. Most wedding photo albums are presented in white to symbolize the purity of the service with traditional symbols of weddings on the cover.

It may be a long while before physical albums are replaced but a more permanent record of the day can now be shown on a cd rom or dvd which most wedding photographers are able to supply themselves. Many hundreds of images can now be stored on a cd rom which makes it simple to carry around and display on a TV screen with little chance of damage.

If guests want to have a copy, they can have all the images and not just their favorite few; these can be stored in presentation boxes for later viewing as a digital wedding photo album. The photos on the disc can be easily printed out by anyone who wants a copy framed on their favorite table. The latest digital photo frames mean you can see a slide show of images wherever you wish to place the viewer; this adds a new and novel touch to looking at pictures.
